Howard,
A big welcome to CiC from me and all the 'troops'
I hope you will learn from and enjoy this site; It sounds to me that you will also be able to help others with less experience than yourself. I hope you will be happy to help out wherever you can.
I look forward to seeing your pictures.
Cheers

Hi D,
Welcome to CiC,
you might like to go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.
I look forward to seeing your work and hope you post some pictures soon.

Hi Georgiana,
Thank you for joining CiC it's great to have you with us.
Your parents certainly did give you a marvellous gift and I'm sure your own style will slowly come out over time.
Enjoy being a member and please post some pictures soon. I believe posting pictures and being involved is not only the best way to learn but the one that brings the most satisfaction.
Kind regards
John
Hi everyone, my name is Kenny and am from Nigeria (actually based in Lagos, South West of Nigeria). I stumbled into CiC via a google search link while doing a little research on camera lenses and I was very impressed with the rather simple but absolutely comprehensive information sent out by CiC. Joining was therefore not a difficult decision for me to make after looking up other well articulated topics on photography as I signed up for the news-letters. I am into professional photography and I've got some really good experience with an eye for good shots, but it's also clear to me that CiC is ABSOLUTELY professional as well and therefore I can still learn some stuff to add to "what" I already know. I am really glad to join and I look forward to a fun-filled experience learning alongside other Pros. Thank you CiC for providing us all this platform to build upon!!!
Hi everyone, my name is Jason and I am a complete newbie to photography. I wanted to take pictures of my daughter cheerleading competitions and my in-laws bought me a Sony A57 DSLR camera and I am trying to learn how to use it and learn the tricks of the trade of photography too. I have been reading through the tutorials and playing with the camera to get an idea on settings and so forth. Thank you for all the free information.
Jason
Hi Jason,
Welcome to CiC, it's great to have you with us.
This is a great place to learn; in addition to the tutorials I would strongly advise posting some of your pictures and get some feed back from the members. This IMO is of great help in self improvement.
Enjoy the forum and site.
Kind regards
John

Hello guys, I'm 26 & I'm Egyptian.
I've been practicing photography for about 2 years.
I like to shoot nature & landscape photos, and now I'm trying to dig portraits & street photography.

Morning All
I'm Steve and live in Disley, High Peak, UK
I'm fairly new to using the DSLR and all the post processing tricknology, but not new to photography
I hope to start picking some brains on here soon, so please be patient ;-)
I hope you have a real name. Meanwhile I'll call you fluffy. I'll be in around your way in three weeks. Send me a pm and we might be able to met up. Maybe do a canal walk and get some shots . Or even get up into the Peaks. There are some great spots up there and not far from you. I'll be staying in Woodsmoore near Stockport. I'm also going to do a shoot in Longside and might need someone to ride shotgun for me. Are you game?
Hi Tom
Yep, no problems in going out on location shoots
Buxworth, High Peak Canal and Lyme Park, Dunham Massey or Style Mill [National Trust] are good, as well as White & Dark Peaks.
Longsite or Levenshulme I never considered, especially on my own
PM me when you're ready
Hi,
My name is Ali and I live in Boston, Massachusetts. Photography has always been a hobby of mine. I have a Nikon P100 and recently got my first DSLR Canon T3. Most of the photos I take are of animals, wildlife and flowers. Look forward to the critiques and exploring all the forum threads and tutorials.
Hello All. My name is Robert from Westbay in Dorset. Found this site on a search for answers to questions i had/have/will have?? I enjoy photography especially car or bike racing. I use a Canon 60D with 2 standard lens and a fairly new Canon 100-400mm. Looking to develop my photographic skills so will be asking questions soon.
Robert - The day you stop having questions is the day to pack up photography. It's an ever-developing and evolving learning exercise. I hope that being part of CiC can help you both enjoy the journey and helps you on your way.
