Hello, my name is James. I live on The Little Satilla River in Camden County Georgia. We are near Brunswick, St. Simons and Jekyll Island. I love photography and video. I am 70 now so I have been doing it for awhile. I am here to see good pictures and learn any new things.

If you wish you can go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.

Hi Guys ,
My name is Peter , I'm originally from Anglesey but have been living on Skye for nearly 26 years .
Up until a couple of years ago I'd never had a proper hobby , so I bought myself a Nikon F80 , then due to a long standing problem with my back I had to leave work [ I took voluntary redundancy ] , with some of the money I bought myself a Nikon D7000 which I was using just on ' Auto ' for around 6 months , fell very ill with sepsis , nearly died , but was in hospital for 3 months .
Six months after leaving hospital the enthusiasm for photography has returned , I've joined a local Camera Club , been to just one meeting so far but I'm really looking forward to it and learning all about the Art of Photography .
I'm at the bottom of the class but I'm willing to learn , and this is why I've joined your Photography Forum , I'm looking forward to reading what everyone has to say .

Cheers , Donald , thanks for the warm welcome, we're in the South of Skye , but our lad goes to Portree High as did our daughter , she's 27 now though training to be a nurse . I was on the Kyleakin Ferry from'88-'95 , so I've been in my fair share of pubs !!

Hi, searching for information on why my D7000 won't bracket.
When in CMS, Bracketing/flash e5 is not highlighted, but shows A/flash.
Move and held down, popup shows, "not an option available at this setting"
Push bracketing button and nothing comes up on the screens.

Hi,

Just joined. I'm very interested in understanding colour so I can improve my photos using Apple Aperture. I've also got a programming background and might be tempted to make some plugins or small programs to help my understanding of colour and how you can alter it. The other techniques such as sharpening etc also interest me too.

Joined CiC couple of days ago, but this is my first post.

I am from Dallas, Texas (USA) and primarily use Sony camera bodies: A55 and NEX-3. The former is primarily used with its native A-mount lenses many dating back to the 1980s. The latter is used with a few native lenses, and A-mount lenses (via LA-EA2 adapter, and manual lenses from various mounts.
