I'd suggest that you do post this up in, say, the 'General Photography Discussion' section of the forum. People who might miss your question in here, will be more likely to see it there.

Oh dear! We need to wean you off that, Laza and get you onto the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Full Manual Modes, so that you start taking control of what the camera does, rather than the camera being left to make the decisions. It feels like a steep learning curve, but if I can do it, anyone can.

By the way - If you wish you can go to Edit Profile and put in your location, so that it appears in the sidebar alongside your message, just like mine beside this message. Then everybody knows where everybody else is.

Hello, hola,my name is Eliseo from Ontario, Canada. I have been taking photos for almost 50 years. I started with a Kodak Instamatic and then for some years I had a Zenith that was very hard on my fingers. I started to take this hobby more seriously 4 years and ago. Currently I have a couple of digital cameras Nikon and I am still learning how to make full use of them. I enjoy macro and portrait photography and I realize that there is so much I would like and need to learn to feel satisfied with the photos I take. By joining CIC I hope to continue and expand my learning from the tutorials and the comments from other fellow photographers.

Hello there. My name is Joan Tevoll and I am from Chile (Santiago); pretty old guy and I have been a photographer for a long long time. My equip is mostly Nikon and process raw in RPP. My field: mostly fine art (sculpture). Glad to be here.

I am Windy and I'm a baby gorilla photographer based in the USA. I like other opportunities to shoot wildlife as well. A friend of mine sent me the link to your web side and I'm impressed. I hope to chat with nice people and share some experiences and photos.

Hello "removebackground" and a warm welcome. It would be good to know a bit more about you and what kind of photography you enjoy.

This is a friendly place, and it would also be good if you could edit your profile to let everyone know whereabouts you are in world, and how you’d like to be known (in CiC terms your “real name” - removebackground is a bit long!). To do that, you click Settings (right at top), then Edit Profile (on left) and put your first name in the Real Name field and where you are (roughly) in the Location field. That way, your details will appear alongside all of your posts.

There are a few pretty old guys round here (including me!). I can't think of another member who specialises in sculpture, so I do hope that you will post some of your work for us to see.

Iam a physician in Brunei darusallam ,an amateur photographer yet to learn the ropes
though i own a DSLR NIKON D3000 iam not using its potentials ,
Iam more of a writer and need to send HD photos for my columns and i need help and advice on free downloadable software for HD conversion in JPEG format so that i can mail it to my publishers

Hello All, I am Dave from icy west central Minnesota. Newly retired and getting back into photography after dabbling in it off and on for the last 20-25 years. Always been a Nikon guy and currently shoot a D-90 and a D-600. I am hoping to pick up some tips to increase my skills and better my techniques. I found out that it takes more than just a decent camera to make a good photograph. My goal is to produce a good photograph on purpose instead of by accident. I am looking forward to the tutorials and threads to help me in my pursuit.
