Hi to all,
I'm a just retired Consulting Architect from India, grossly involved in projects so long.
Now i have decided to peruse PHOTOGRAPHY seriously. My area of interest are; (i) Landscape, (ii) Travel, (iii) Po trait & (iv) Tabletop.

I would need all your help and share your knowledge and expertise to improve my skill.

I use Nikon, D5000, 18-55mm, 55-200mm, Sigma 10-20mm & Nikon SB600. Planing to buy Nikon 50mm 1.4. and an old Stitz tripod.

Though i am not a newbie in photography, i am open to learning as "digital" is new for me.

Name of the Calcutta is changed to Kolkata long back.

My name is Orn and I´m from Akureyri / Iceland.
I bought my first Digital camera for about 2 years ago and now I have Nikon D200 (NIKON 50mm 1:1,8. / NIKKOR AF-S 18-135mm 1:3,5-5,6 G ED / NIKON AF-S 12-24 f4 G DX IF ED).
I love to take outdoor pictures and use the natural light, but I still want to have PS and learn on it.
Here is lot of wonderful pictures and information so I will keep reading and practicing so I can start to post a picture on this side.

Hello, I am Draco from Beijing, China. I just bought my first DSLR Canon 500D last weakend. I have taken photos for two years with a Canon compact digital camera. I love photography and enjoy the feeling of creating exacting photos and sharing with others.
Actually my major is Image processing and one day I found the wonderful photography tutorials in this site. I want to learn more from this forum and all of you.

I got a canon ef 50mm f 1.8 ii. Maybe later I should buy another telephoto lens.

Although I've been taking pictures for a couple of years with an Olympus 35mm, I never learned how to take pictures with anything other than default settings. I just got a Kodak Z812 IS and would like to learn how to use some of the manual settings. I mostly take pictures of our cats when they let me. I also like to photograph wildlife.

I'm Leo, from Romania, and I've found this site looking after "photography tutorials". (btw, great work with those tutorials).
Subjects ? ....well...:) shoot everything ..like any enthusiastic amateur, but no weddings, and other related events ( and I'm not willing even in the future:) )
For the momment I have a Sony A200 with standard kit lenses (18-76 ; f/3.5-5.6), but I will upgade at the end of this year.
