Hi Peter, I did live in Victoria for a few months but missed the sunshine so came home lol I have family who live in and around Daylesford and must admit there are some beautiful spots to take photo's of over there. Not to mention Avalon every couple of years, love taking photo's of planes in the sky ....
G'day from "Downunder".
Not sure if you accept members from Australia! But here I am anyway.
My name is Ralph Newman and I have some of my photos on my web page here
http://ozphotos.smugmug.com/
I have had a camera in my hands for at least 50 years of one sort or another.
I am still only a hobby photographer and do it all for the enjoyment.
I have shot a few weddings but wouldn't do that for a living. I try my hand at most styles and try to learn and get better with each outing. I do enjoy macro photography in the field. The excitement of finding something new to shoot is half the fun.
Anyway I best have a good look around and see what goes on. Just wanted to say Hi

We accept them...grudgingly...okay, so that's a lie, we welcome everyone, with open arms and a smile on our collective faces. It's them Mad Dogs and Englishmen you gotta look out for...

Hello there! I am new here. I found this site through one of the tutorials.
I am Sibel and I live in London at the moment. My background in the visual arts is painting and working with all sorts of materials (for sculpture). Photography is also a big passion of mine. I am mostly an experimental photographer.
The cameras I worked with are Minolta Dynax and Canon PowerShot SX130. I am saving at the moment to get a Nikon. Wish me luck with that, lol. I guess I will have to sacrifice my holiday in France this summer to get it.
Hello,
I am a new member and my name is Andrew-Bede. I am a Benedictine Oblate and live in a hamlet in Nottinghamshire with a stream, the River Meden, which is the border between Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire, running by my home. There are lovely woods just the other side of the river and they are a constant inspiration to me. Photography to me is a creative and somewhat spiritual activity as I like to use it to explore my spirituality and my relationship to creation, as a Benedictine I am contemplative by nature and interested in all forms of spirituality especially the Buddhist take on things which has many parallels with the Benedictine way of looking at things. I am constantly learning about photography and have a modest Canon 350D.
Hello Rob,
Thanks for the welcome! I prefer landscape/nature and architecture more than anything else but havn't done much of the latter yet! I like to get close to my subject as well as the more general landscape. Here is an example—it is a bit of graffiti I found in the woods across the stream from where I live.
Oh well that upload didn't work! This is a link to my Red Bubble pics http://www.redbubble.com/people/allsop the graffiti. is amongst that.
Go to Click here to upload...use the browser to locate the file on your drive and open that file which will show in the browser window...then, hit the big green Upload Now button and a new window will appear just below the picture you want to post. highlight that window, copy the file and then paste into the dialogue box (where I am typing this message). Lastly, scroll down to the bottom right panel to "Go Advanced" and click on that which will allow you to change the title of the photo to reflect your post and not the previous person's post. Then, hit submit.
Hi all, my name is Tom and I live in Northumberland.
For a number of years I was a keen landscape photographer but over the last 18 months have been addicted to our feathered friends.
I'm a founding member of our camera club which is now into its 3rd year.
I have been a member of Cambridge in Colour this since 2008 but until now have not had the time to act as a full threading member
The photo attached was taken during a visit to the farne Islands, Northumberland (my 4th visit)

hi all my name is justin and i live in the north east in county durham. i am totally new to photography and have just upgraded from a point and shoot. after a lot of thought and a fair bit of research i realised that a dslr and lenses was out of the question so i have gone for a bridge camera, the fuji hs10. as i say i am totally new to this game so its all kind of a mystery to me at the moment but i shall enjoy learning. i will be going abroad in a couple of months and hope to take some nice pictures with it. during my research i came across polarising filters and thought yes great idea for my sunny beach photos, but wow there are so many different types. i know i need a thin frame circular filter but within that catagory there are a multitude of types. any suggestions and explinations would be really appreciated please. at the moment i am just waiting for the rain to stop so i can go out and practice, only had the camera two weeks and hooked already.
I am new to this site and new to Photography too! Venkush from AL, soon moving to CA. I am here to learn from you all! Saw lots of nice pictures and amazed!
Hi! I'm Publio and I live in Rio, Brazil. Photography has somehow been a passion for a pretty long time. But, for some reasons, only a few years ago did it start taking over and it has come to a point where I'm becoming more and more fascinated about it. Even obsessed I may say. I bought my first DSLR in mid 2009 (a Nikon D-40) and I've just purchased my wide-angle which is still about to arrive. I'm here to learn. I love photographing just about everything but I do love landscape. Specially when you live in a city like Rio where the possibilities are nearly endless. So... here I am.
P.S. I make my living as an English teacher at a Language School.
Hey guys! My name is James and I live in Manila, Philippines. I'm a photography hobbyist mostly interested in Landscape and Travel Photography. I started getting into photography back in 2008 with a Nikon D60, then upgraded to a D90 and got myself a couple of lenses. I stumbled upon this forum while researching on 16 bit workflow for CS5 and found some pretty interesting ideas, so naturally I'd sign in.
There is always something new to learn and "improvement" is a continuous process. So I hope to pick up a few things here and there and share some of my own every now and then.
Cheers!
ps. you can view some of my images in the links below. i hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy taking them

Hi! Everyone
My stats are: Retired, own Canon 7d (Tamron 18-270mm PZD main lens), like to travel and hike, love to shoot nature and landscape photos, interested in HDR photography, 3d, panoramic, macros, geotagging, video, etc.
Hi all. I'm Kristina. New to everything. Expect to learn a lot. Not sure what I'm interested in yet. I'll figure that out soon enough, I expect. I'm from the Washington, D.C. area (East coast, USA) and have traveled extensively over the years. I work full time. I'm originally from the Rocky Mountain area and miss it terribly.
