Hi everyone!
I am a Salvadoran living in India, working in roads infraestructure costruction and stealing every bit of time to dedicate to photography, still looking to get serious about photography since I got my Nikon D90 and is such a deservice piece of equipment that I should be more and more in to learning and practicing; this is how I got here, looking for tutorials and for experienced and supportive people that would help me in the process of improving my skills.
I have been doing portraits, architecture, landscape which has really turned to be so disapointing since I am not getting what I am looking for... please consider this a big shout for help!!! My contribution to this site? please be patient for I will be supportive as soon as my knowledge may become useful.
Hi all, I am Muthu from India. I am a new bee in photography. I hope I will learn and share more useful photography here.. Cheers..

A very warm welcome to CiC. I hope you will find that CiC is the right place for you in terms of experienced and supportive people being very willing to answer your questions and give advice. Helping colleagues improve knowledge and skills is very much a main purpose of CiC.
So, please do join in the discussions and I look forward to seeing some of your images.
Hi Everyone, I'm a Retiree living in West-Central Florida primarily interested in bettering myself in the proper use of a Nikon D3000 digital camera. I was very pleased in viewing some of the Tutorials and from them picked up valuable information.
Presently, I feel like a Newbee using one of those "For Dummies" Books.
Hello!
My name is Lucille. I am new to digital photography. I used to spend a lot of time with a manual SLR film camera but that was ages ago. Lately I have simply been taking snapshots of my family members and pets. I got a digital camera as a gift and the giver of the gift keeps asking me if I've figured out how to use it. Now's as good a time as any to put the puzzle together, I suppose. I look forward to sharing pictures and thoughts with you.
Cheers!
Hello World!
I have been cruising through here for a while and I decided to join. I am impressed by the international membership. I have been taking photos since 1980 when I got my first camera, a Pentax MV. I am now semi retired and love taking photos. Sometimes I need motivation and all of the lovely photos here will do just fine!
Hello, my name is Wendy and I live in Victoria Australia.
My interests are in Macro and Landscape Photography, however I enjoy all areas in between.
About 2 years ago I purchased my first dslr camera a 350D and have recently upgraded to a 7D which I am enjoying immensly.
I enjoy reading and learning about all areas of photography and being interactive with like minded people.
This is probably not the best part of the site in which to do that. Instead, and if you are referring to images that I've posted up on the forum, then please do just hit the 'Reply' button on any of those threads and ask your questions.
If you mean any of the images on my own website which you cannot find on here, then send me a Private message (PM)
Hello and welcome, Emory. Good to have you on board.
Yep, but it does get better - I am the living proof.Presently, I feel like a Newbee using one of those "For Dummies" Books.
Please do pitch in with any questions or queries you may have. And, of course, post up some images.
And, hopefully, with the support of people here on CiC. If you've had a look around the forum you'll hopefully have seen that people are more than willing and able to offer all sorts of supportive advice and guidance. All you have to do is ask.
So, I hope you enjoy being part of this online community, Lucille.
Hello Jim, from (today) a very wet and grey Scotland. The international flavour of CiC is, I think, one of its great strenghts. You'll have seen that there is a very broad range of knoweldge and experience and many diffeernt perspectives all represented. The real plus point thougth is that it all happens within a friendly environment of support and collaboration. The more aggressive, competitive environment of some other fora is not a feature of life here on CiC. If it starts, it's soon stopped.
Oh, you lucky person!
Hello Wendy, and welcome to CiC.
Learnign and studying is, I think, what it's all about. The buzz from learning something knew never diminishes. I hope that you find that that buzz is shared by lots of people on here and that you find CiC a natural online base for your interests.
I am retired now and live in Townsville, Queensland (Australia). I am an ex-patriate Yank and have been living here for 32 years. Spend most of my hours on the Web learning PhotoShop from various sites & learning more about off camera (Strobist) flash / lighting.
Great site and already spending hours reading the tutes & forums.

Hello
my name is Luke, I currently work as a photojournalist at my home town TV station. I work primarily with video and motion picture cameras but I believe strongly that one must understand the still frame before that can master the moving frame. I joined this community to help me further understand the concept of still frame photography. I'm really looking forward to posting and receiving feed back on my work as a still photographer which with any luck with improve the quality of my video work.
Cheers!
Curt
I'm glad you're finding this little corner of cyberspace interesting and that you've signed up to join in the fun. As you'll have worked out, it's pretty informal forum where people do care about trying to help others develop knowledge and skills. So, hopefully your knowledge will be available to others and that your questions can be answered. Good to have you along.
Luke
Hello and welcome. You don't say where your home town is. You can edit your profile and put that under location, so that alongside each of your posts, folks can see where you are.
I hope you find that what you'll get on here is constructive criticism and comment when that's asked for, along with a willingness to share ideas and debate photographic issues. Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.
