Hi,
My name is Mike and I am originally from Cambridge, I still work here as a Mechanical Design Engineer but now live in Kings Lynn. I have been a photographer since I was a teenager.
I have no particular photography style and will shoot anything that takes my fancy. At the moment I'm very interested in taking panoramas. I have always dabbled with panoramic stitching, but I now fancy trying 360 x 180, but not as an interactive quicktime movie. I want to produce them as 2:1 still images. Any advice I can get from anyone would be much appreciated. I'm using a Canon 5D2 and 15mm fisheye.
Thank you boss for a person like u there are lot of eye catching mind blowing places. U should visit us once. coz when we se it its just a usual thing that we dont take it seriously. but when its seen thru your lenses it will be unusually beautiful.
And Iam trying to learn to see thru you what u see thru your lenses.
As of now i do not hav a link or sites for my pics. will start soon and Im not much specilised in computers.
But I defenitely want your views and comments which would be more helpful for me.
Please refer which site i would start my pics to upload which one is easier to operate and use.
Im attaching some of the Pics ive taken for your views
Thanks & Regards
Rejanish

Hi friends
This is George from India. I am a researcher so the only photos i'v been clicking is from a camera attached to my nikon microscope. Recently i have developed a taste for photography and started to explore the outdoors. Looking forward to to leaning from you all.
George
A very warm welcome to you. I'm sure people here on CiC would be fascinated to see some of the images you have made whilst the camera has been attached to the microscope.
But I hope you also enjoy going fo the larger scope of the outdoor photograph. And that you also enjoy being part of CiC. Please do ask any questions that you may have and do join in the discussions.
Hi folks,my name is Dave.I have taken up photography as a hobby since I retired 4 years ago.I bought a Canon 1000D,a couple of lenses and Photoshop elements 7,read a couple of books and thought this is going to be a doddle. Then, because I had a good looking camera and a big lens, people started asking me to take pictures for them and that's when I came tumbling off my cloud and realising I knew nothing. So here I am ready to start afresh and absorb as much information as I can and this site looks to be just the thing I need.
Dave - It's great to have you here and I hope that CiC is the place that can help you fill in the gaps. Certainly, there are lots of people on here more than willing to share their considerable knowledge and experience and who are very happy to answer any and all photography-related questions.
And because it's a place for learning there is therefore no such thing as a dumb question. That's why I'm still here!
And, by the way, n you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.
Hi, my name is Cindy. I am a transplanted Texan living in a small prairie town in Saskatchewan, Canada. I shoot mainly for my own enjoyment and look forward to improving my skills through the amazing photos and posts from all the members of CIC. I'm pretty timid about my photos as I'm not a very self confidant photographer. Thank you for letting me join your group.
Cindy - There are lots and lots of people like that. I still find it difficult to accept compliments when people say I've made a good image. The wonderful thing about this forum is that people are accepting of all abilities and skills and just want to help others develop as photographers. So, please don't feel nervous about posting images. If you are just at the beginning of the learning curve - great. People on here will want to help you climb it.
Posting the first one is always hard. You wonder, 'What are they going to think about it?'. Whilst I understand that on some other forums you would get very, very harsh condemnation if you're image wasn't 'top drawer', that will not happen on CiC.
So, go for it.
Great to have you here. I hope you enjoy it.
You've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. You can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

Hi,
I'm Kathleen. I'm here to learn and love being able to see and be inspired by the images shared.
Hi Dave,
I have a Canon 7d that is my main camera. I also have a Rebel. I have several lenses but no real editing program yet.
I like to shoot a variety of things, but don't get too many people shots as my in house models run when they see me with my camera.
I think this is going to be fun and give me the opportunity to learn more about photography.
Kathleen
Hello from Cambridge! My name's Andrew and I'm very much a learner. I got myself a Canon 450d a few years ago and have slowly assembled a set of lenses that I hope cover all bases and will keep me going for the next few years at least while I learn how to get the best out of them. I've read some of the tutorials on the site and they've already proved useful. I hope to try my hand at astrophotography soon (got myself a decent 'scope at the start of the summer but time and circumstance have prevented me from getting it out in earnest so far).
Hi, My name is Mac, living in the great state of Georgia. I've been loving photorgaphy since I was very young but have never gone any further than being an ameteur photographer. Hoping to retire in 5 more years and take up photography as a profession. I feel your expertise will help me become a better photographer. Looking forward to your advise and recommendations. Thanks Mac
Hi Andrew,
A wish you a warm welcome to the CiC forums from me.
Where are you located? - it always helps us to know this when we're answering in questions, it covers everything from seasons to currency - could you Edit your Profile and add it in the Location field please? - many thanks.
Apart from astro, what sort of things do you like to photograph?
All the best,
