Hello everyone. I started in photography with an apprenticeship in the late 1960s, then ran my own commercial studio through the '70s before drifting into IT in the '80s. I didn't touch a camera for many years but then during a long walkabout in the Australian outback I learned a different way to see the world around me. I began to distil it into four basic components and put those into my pictures: Light, Colour, Form and Texture.
That's the way I have made pictures ever since: free from commercial and other demands, just to please myself and my nearest and dearest. Sounds cocky and self-indulgent, and I suppose it is, but I hope others will enjoy them too.
