Different Game - What are your oldest photos

In these days of lockdown, I have been reviewing some old images that I got from my mother before she passed away. Unfortunately many are not identified but, here are three that I can identify and date. I am pretty sure that these are the oldest images in the collection...

These three portraits document my grandfather, Erich Schön, from age 15 to age age 18, while he was still in Germany. He immigrated to the USA in 1897 at age 19...

The oldest of these images is about 127 years old and is still hanging in there which is a compliment to the photo processing of that era.

I learned that his city was spelled Cassel until 1928 when the spelling was changed to Kassel and it retains the Kassel spelling until now.

It would be fun to see the oldest images you have in your collection.

I envy you. We had albums going back to the 1880's, but my step mother destroyed all of my family albums when my father died.

My sister has an album of photos of my paternal grandparents. It looks like some were taken in the "old country" but most of them were taken her in the US. I have offered to have discs made of the photos and return them to her but she won't lend them to me.
