Richard and his special needs dogs...

Stella has a problem eating... Unless she is upright while eating, she will vomit her food. A solution is this Bailey Chair with which we feed Stella as she is kept upright during the feeding and for at least twenty minutes after the feeding. Apparently, this is a solution to her vomiting. She vomits very infrequently now and is gaining weight...

After I feed he in her chair, I usually sit by her at our dining nook table as I surf the net on my Chromebook with Peluche in my lap...

Peluche, whom we also call Boy-Boy, is an older mixed breed dog who has lived a rough life until he came to us. He is almost totally deaf, has no teeth left and has very limited vision in his one eye. He had been left chained in a yard for his entire life until he was rescued by Hope for Paws who sent him to us. We have adopted him since we realize that there would be no one wanting to take on the responsibility of this old guy with his special needs.

His favorite thing in life is to sit in my lap and he will use his limited vision and great sense of smell to find me and then woof until I pick him up and put him in my lap... It really doesn't take much to make him happy and I get a great feeling when he is settled in my lap...

Richard, my dog wants to sit on my lap like that. The problem is that she's up to 65#.

Paul David... My 55-pound Goldendoodle, Holly, also thinks that she should be a lap dog...

I let her get up on our couch next to me and she puts her head in my lap...

    Very nice story Richard.
Adding yet another lap dog to the story, our 75+ pound male labrador sits on my lap if I'm on the floor. He also loves to repeatedly go through our legs, I'm told that is his way of hugging (our girl gives real hugs).

Thank you for all the work you do with these dogs, they are beautiful and lucky to have you.
