Waiting for Carnival
Aldeburgh, Suffolk, UK
... and yes it was a long time coming.
Waiting 1.
I was tempted to crop out the drain pipe etc. but then one loses the context of two boys getting a good view by sitting in an upstairs doorway.
Waiting 2
Waiting 3
All with Nikon D2Xs, Nikkor 70-300VR, ISO 200

Re: Waiting for Carnival
Excellent shots, Mike. Very good clarity, tonal range, and interesting subjetcs. Well caught.

Yes Mike, well up to your usual high standard.
I like the vignette on the first and second shots too.

Ditto exactly what the guys have just said above.
Personally, I love the story that the third one tells. Each of us will react differently to each of the images. I think there's such a strong narrative in the third one that, for me, it just takes a couple of extra steps up the ladder.

Re: Waiting for Carnival
Thanks guys. I'd forgotten about these, and was pleased to re-discover them when trawling through my catalogue. For once I had the right lens attached!!
