Re: April 27 - May 3
With the first of the fallen tree photos, Antonio, I suspect you could get away with adding a fraction of highlight brightness

Re: April 27 - May 3
This is not a good image I know, but rather the result of some experiments on CC with Luminosity blending mode...
The light is not the best one either.

Re: April 27 - May 3
That last one works well, Antonio.
The first of the Luminosity Blending images looks fine to me but the second one has some sky problems. Did you try some work on the sky and trees joining line?
That one is an extremely difficult scene to get looking good.

Re: April 27 - May 3
Thank you Geoff for the comment.
About the last one. I made a mistake on LR since the beginning as I did not erase the area on the trees from the gradient. I then exported to CC and I kept the work. Only later on I realized that I had done that error but it was too late.
This image doesn't worth the effort of starting from the raw file, as it is too busy with too many elements on the lower part.
In location, I tried to compose the best I could but it was not possible even moving around as I have done.
On the other hand I could go to CC and clone, content aware fill and so on but as I said before, the capture doesn't deserve the effort.
I have to be more careful in other works...
Here I tried to correct that little problem. It's better but let me tell you that the green spot you see is on the tree, perhaps it is moss.
Cheers !

May 27 - May 10
Another week is running.
This frog visited us today. We think it has been here before some months ago, smaler...
A simple photograph showing how excellent this lens is.
EDIT - I have worked a little bit on it's "nose"

This one was making a walk on the pavement near the grass of the garden in this time of confinement !

Re: May 27 - May 10
The eyes, and nose, are perfectly focused; which is the main thing with macro shots. Exposure is also good on that shiny skin.

Re: May 27 - May 10
Not all photos are successful, of course.
And even trying twice to arrive to something "decent" out of this photo, it was not enough.
Crap !

Re: May 27 - May 10
I suspect with that scene you have to decide between the road and the sky to make just one of them the dominant subject.
Probably, I would lose the bottom part of the road and the left side tree. Then darken the sky, particularly the top left corner

Re: May 27 - May 10
Yes Geoff, it's crap !
I have seen all those problems like the tree on the left, the apparently overexposed sky on the left, the photo is too green... oh well... as I told before, it is not good, no !
But we do not take only good photographs, do we ? At least I don't.
And I not ashamed to show them.
Thank you Geoff for your kind comment. Much appreciated !
Take care and cheers !

Re: May 27 - May 10
Today the frog appeared in the small lake we have in the garden. The fish made a subtle appearance...

Re: May 27 - May 10
I think you took another or even more photos without the intruder in the frame too.... the presence of the fish takes away all the attention from the frog to fish, because it is in the human nature to go curious about something only half revealed.....

Re: May 27 - May 10
That one looks good, Antonio.
With the previous frog I suspect that if the fish had been swimming in the same direction as the frog was looking it would have worked better. As it is, maybe tone down the brightness on that fish?
