Bend in The River
I took this picture last May...I was camping on the ranch I grew up on. It rained on us every day which isn't fun for camping but I still managed a few nice shots during the trip. I like this shot because it's my favorite camping spot and where I fished as a kid. It was sunset, sun already down but color in the sky and moody clouds.

Re: Bend in The River
I really like this one as well Chuck, may I ask was it a single exposure? or a blend of 3 in post processing?

Re: Bend in The River
Thank you Kay...it's a single shot. I wonder how it would have looked if I had done an HDR....I might have been able to pull even more detail out of the sky.

Re: Bend in The River
Thanks for the kind words all. This location is full of memories for me and it's nice to have an image that captures some of them.

Re: Bend in The River
Indeed, a wonderful image. But, sorry to say, this is also one where the signature really bugs me: the shape of the river always leads the eye to it, giving it way too much importance.

Re: Bend in The River
Apologies Remco....the logo comes from my website where the image is linked. I do it to provide a measure of protection because I like to allow the image to be viewed in a quite large size on my website. In slide show mode it's full screen. I have developed the ability to almost see through the logo as if it weren't there but I recognize it bothers some.
