    Landscape - Dolomiti

    Hi all,
I've been away for a while.
Got some bad and good experiences so far that drove me away from photography, up to being tempted to sold part of my gear..
Anyway now I'm looking in the few dozens of pics taken last year or so, I would like to print this one below and I would appreciate your comments and criticism to improve that as much as possible.
    Thank you!

    Nicola

    Salve Nicola, mi piaccia.
I would perhaps brighten the shadow below the fence and slightly tone down the bright sky and mountain side on the upper left.

Very lovely landscape. The small rock in the foreground is an attention dragger, in my personal opinion.

It is a lovely image, Nicola. I can certainly see why you would like to print it. It's a good thing that you did not give up on your photography.

If this were my image, I would spend a bit of time dodging and burning and making a number of local adjustments to "calm" it a bit and bring out some of the textures, especially on the clouds in the valley, Prints have less dynamic range than computer screens and some of these areas will not print as well as they could without a bit of work.

Lovely scenery, I can see why you would want to have this displayed as a print. Manfred’s edit shows the benefit of some post processing work.

    Thank you very much guys,
I've to remove some rust on my photoshop skills to do do some dodge and burn... but I agree that it worth the effort.

The house at the very left end is a bit annoying to my eye, it seems to "unbalance" the image. No ones has the same 2feeling"?
    Thank you again
    Have agood day

It is not great there, but it adds to the overall scene, so unless you have more material on the left hand side of the image, I felt that leaving it in was better than cropping it out. I did burn those parts down to reduce the impact on the rest of the image.

Unfortunately your last two images are not showing up. Please follow the instructions from this thread on posting images here:

Salve Nicola, the 2 images are now visible. I prefer the second panorama but would clone out the dark object in the bottom right corner. Whereabouts in the Dolomiti did you capture the images?

These two images seem to be crops of your original posting. In my view, neither are as interesting as your original crop.
