    Very cool images..the hover is super sharp..would you be able to brighten it a bit? I dunno if it's my screen or not. Looks little dark, otherwise awesome congrats

    Nice shots Les. I especially like the ones of the orange tip - when did you shoot these (he asks with feelings of admiration and house-bound frustration)?

    Not a hoverfly, Les. Look at those large antennae. That points to it being a bee; but they are tricky to fully identify at the best of times so I wouldn't go any further from that camera angle.

    The eyes are also a giveaway. Also, it’s hard to see at this angle, but if this is showing two wings in one side, that’s determinative: hovers, like all flies, have only two wings, not four.

    Thankyou Bil i shot them on the same day i posted the orange tip landed on the floor right in front of me and that was as low as i could get i was hoping that it would fly to a eye level but no
