    Nice shots. Will have to wait for Geoff to be sure, but the bee looks like some species of bumblebee to me. It looks like you missed focus on the fly, although it is hard to tell with images as small as these. The area of sharp focus seems to encompass much of the body but not the head and eyes.

    Bees are tricky but my first thoughts would be possibly a male Ashy Mining Bee.

    Many insects are difficult to get everything in sharp focus at some camera angles. The general practice, for a nice looking image, is to concentrate on getting the head and particularly the eyes sharply focused. But when photographing for identification I concentrate solely on the required identification area and don't worry about other bits.

    That fly is one of those extremely difficult but very common species which I tend to ignore. Possibly one of the Muscidae group, or a close relative.

    And the same things go for the weevil as well.
