I was about to take a photo, but the lady (member of staff) started to move to get out of my shot, so I asked her to stay, which happily she did. I asked her to look in the direction she is doing here.

Well seen and taken Jim! A very strong and compelling image.

I like what you have done with the colours as well and would be tempted to work that a bit more using some traditional colour grading techniques. I suspect this would work well if you did a bit of a complementary grade where you kept the magenta tones in the shadows but went to more of a green in the highlights.

Thanks everyone for your very kind words and VG feedback. I have tried your suggestion, Manfred, and think that it does improve the image. What I did was to select the light and added a Colour Balance Adjustment where I shifted to +48% green. Made the adjustment layer 30% Opacity. It took some fiddling as I am very much the beginner in regards to Colour Grading. Here is the result. What do you think?

I think that the monochrome version is a totally different image. In colour the woman is the centre of attention by a benign audience. In the monochrome version she is on display. Something to be examined and studied.

Personally I prefer the blk wht yet both are especially captured well.
