    Esquina

    Esquina

Too much black space especially the upper portion, cropping seems appropriate,

I really like the geometric structure of this image, Fernando. Very nice abstract realism.

The lines have a lot of impact, Fernando! I tried the crop with less light.

For my interpretation of the original image the crop has removed its meaning. The guy's stood there pondering over a massive dark unknown.

I agree with you. The crop removed the feel of the image.

Lon - Fernando virtually never replies to comments and the one time that he did it was to state that any image he posts here are what he wants to show and is not interested in making any of the changes suggested by the members. The work is complete.

Since the time he posted that I don't leave any comments on his work. His approach is a lot different than mine as I find my images are never complete and every time I think I've finished working on one, it is waiting for me to come back and make changes to it. That being said, I'm not as obsessive about it as Ansel Adams was; I believe he printed about 1300 "final" versions of Moonrise - Hernadez, New Mexico.

No problem, Manfred. Raymond suggested a crop so I thought I'd try it out. I wasn't judging Fernando, though I do prefer a little less sky exposure.
