Chive flowers opening

Given our current situation, I have been looking right around our house for interesting things to photograph. I've been trying to focus on the rebirth spring brings--a cheerful counterpoint to the daily death count in the newspapers. The Rose of Sharon image I posted a few days ago was one of these. Here is another. These are the flowers of chive plants growing in a planter on our deck. It's a composite of 7 images shot at f/6.3, composited using the DMap routine in Zerene, with some touchup of halos using a PMax composite.

I do extensive edits, but I usually don't move things around, etc. This was an exception. It was very difficult to control the location of the flowers. I had positioned them--repeatedly--by gently inserting a round toothpick into the stems and then inserting the other end of the toothpicks into florist's foam. This is a very approximate method. I ended up with the fully open flower too far to the left, so I simply picked it up in Photoshop and put it where I had tried to get it.

Not sure I understand your second comment. The one on the left is fully open. Do you mean showing one that is past full bloom?
