Two Jaipur Street Girls

This image is quite noisy as it was shot during the early evening, just before sunset. We were visiting the Jaipur Monkey Temple, and a number of poor families were gathering here to spend the night.

I took this shot of two young women as we were heading to the temple.

They were hamming it up for the camera.

I suspect that they were part of one of the family of vendors that tend to be anywhere near a site frequented by visitors. It was the end of the day and getting quite dark.

A bit of dodging, burning and desaturation went into the background to tone it down a bit. As for the colours, the one thing I love about India is how colourful it is. Even the poorest of the poor take pride in their appearance.
