Both very good images; in the first could have one avoided the reflections from the shell if a polarizer filter were used? i had one earlier,not now....

Thank your for your comment! I had not thought of the polarizer, though I don't think I have one for that lens. I made some effort to reduce the reflections in post but anything I did in Lightroom seemed to detract from the rest of the image.
