    I find it even more interesting that software like Apple's Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro are called "Non-Linear Editors", but people say they post-process with them. Adobe refers to Photoshop as a "raster graphics editor", but people don't seem to want to understand that editing software is used to edit...

    True - the latest buzzword for marketing things. They never do tell us what this means for their product.

    The problem with any machine learning algorithm is "garbage in, garbage out". Unless the training set that was used was large enough and applicable to the situation you are looking at, it won't work.
