    Superb Fairy Wren project

Our new home environment, has a no free range cats rule & an only native Australian plants rule, so the native bird life is prevalent.
In saying that, on my walks with the dog, I see birds everywhere very close... on my walks with the camera not so many

I want to make a gallery wall of small square images of the range of birds somewhere in our new house...maybe the garage, with the idea to swap out the one of each bird for a better one when I manage it.

The Fairy Wrens are like little mice (which we also have ) so they are very quick, but they are delightful.
I知 bribing them with peanut butter in our garden & waiting.

The male gets the beautiful blue plumage, so this is either a female or a young male, or the blue plumage is only evident at breeding season.

Anyway here is my start to this project, (not for the gallery prints) I知 hoping by the time the blue is evident, the males will be used to dropping by for their peanut butter.

This was taken at the entrance to our estate, nice close up of a male, but sitting on a wire fence isn稚 what I知 after...this will be an enjoyable project for me to work on.

Look forward to seeing this exploration developing. I think it's great top have a specific project aim in mind. It certainly gives my photography a solid base and purpose. Otherwise I found myself just wandering around looking for pictures with no real purpose in mind.

I set out some peanut butter lure spots yesterday, but no birds appeared.

They certainly are quick, Kay, and they never seem to settle for more than a second.

    Gotta love a challenge!
Thankfully they are tame here so I致e got more chances & I find it calming even just watching them.
