I've spent pretty well all week working on getting an old project ready to print.
The Blair Mill Sheave Tower was an auxiliary power unit for the nearby Blair Mill in the village of Blair that is now part of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. The Sheave Tower was built in 1876 across the road from the mill itself. The extra power was used to increase the capacity of the mill itself.
The mill is still in operation using more modern technology and grinds corn.
I started taking pictures in October 2013 and finished in August 2014. The mill is located some 500km / 300 miles from where I live and was near the college where my youngest daughter was studying, so every time we happened to be in the area, I took time to photograph it. I wanted to get one image for each season, but ended up being there in both the early and late spring, so I have a total of 5 images.
Some final prep and I will print all five over the next few days.
1. Early Spring
2. Late Spring
3. Summer
4. Autumn
5.
