    July 6 - July 12

It really is a shame that I have done one photograph for so long now... I do not go out often but that is no excuse as one may find many other motives if feeling like to.

Today I went out as the weather is great and even a bit hot. High temperatures are expected this week...
Herewith I photograph from the old town.

    Cheers !

I made this photo duplicating the layers of one raw file and using masks so I could use it as background in the Zoom meetings.
    It works nicely !

Let me say something about one photograph to begin with.
The f/1.8 was intentional. I had just shot another photograph in another location which was a none interest and I erased it as soon as I imported it.
I made an exposure compensation as I was afraid of the white areas of the motorcycle while viewing through the EVF.
In fact that was the reason why I shot this ! To get the best result under a photograph with a little more difficulty as usual.
In location and at the moment I could't remember to turn the zebras warning on. Silly me !
This is the original RAW file with just the Lens Corrections in LR

Antonio, did you mean "f/1.8 was not intentional"?

What worked against you in this shot was mainly the choice of 'matrix' exposure metering. It might have been more effective to spot-meter those white parts and then decide how much EC to apply in order to get their desired brightness in the output image.

Or, spot-meter those shaded cobblestones at lower left and take a chance with no EC at all.

I am not a great lover of letting the camera do anything automatically ...

Thank you Bill for your comment !

Ted, I wanted really to use the f/1.8
I am a lover of letting the camera decide many things for me. However, I always choose the point of focus and most of the times I do use the "matrix" exposure metering.

I do have customized a button for the spot metering which follows the focus point. I agree with you that the way you describe would have been a good or better option.

Much appreciated your comment ! Thank you !

Thanks Antonio. Pardon me for not being sure. Quite acceptable for shooting at that distance, I imagine.

Went to the doctor today... so far so good !

How do you like this ? What kind of processing should I have done or shall I do ?
The photo is to be printed and offered to the model in A5. I will print it myself

Excellent; yet i would like to clone wipe out the distant opuntia on the right side, which makes a visual continuation with the main one.

Thank you Nandakumar for your excellent comment and pointing that obvious issue.
    You are absolutely right.
I have seen myself when working on the photo and I thought it would be rather difficult to clone the area without noticing it
I was lazy not even trying it !
In location I searched for the right angle all the other captures being worst than this one !
    Cheers ! Take care !
But... here is a better version ! Not perfect, I know
