    I always struggle to get bumblebees to make good photos so well done on that one.

    There are a lot of those Common Red Soldier Beetles around now. Are you seeing any mating pairs? They always make good subjects providing you can get the correct camera angle where everything is in good focus. Recently I saw a second male attempting to oust the established male but I couldn't get everything in focus.

    Not sure about the grasshopper. Probably a female or juvenile with short wings. Most likely a Meadow Grasshopper.

    Those Large Skipper butterflies are now coming to an end here with the Small Skippers increasing in numbers.

    Hi Geoff yes plenty of mating pairs i counted 10 beetles on one flower
