    Celine

Céline, a friend I've been trying to persuade to model for portraits for years has finally agreed !

In faux style of the 1950's Hollywood gaze: that captured my attention and made me look twice.

Similarly the 1950's style 'spot lighting' on the backdrop, too.

Was that pose directed or the model's spontaneous doing?

Fun image but, I prefer the subject's gaze along the line of the nose...

Bit of both, the position of the arm was directed but the eyes were spontaneous. This was a first shoot with Céline (who has no modelling experience) - very promising.

Nicely posed and processed image. I have never been a fan of images where the eye has been turned all the way to one side exposing a lot of the whites of the eye. In this image, I find the camera left eye looks quite strange and distracting.
