    Ted,I started out with CS4 on XP,upgrading to Win 8.1 three or four years ago.

    I don`t recall having any difficulty but I had the CS4 disk then.Heaven knows where it is now ,I`ve searched the house to no avail.
    I guess it would have been straight forward if I still had it.

    another thing about this fiasco is that CS4,Bridge and ACR 5.7 are installed on the old C drive running Win 8.1 but not retrievable unless anyone knows a workaround?
    With very few exceptions, Windows files aren't simply copied to the system drive. The installation process writes entries to the system registry. So, I don't know of any way to retrieve them. You would have to manually insert the relevant registry entries, which could be numerous and which aren't usually publicly documented.

    The PMs worked as I got all 4 of them in a row
    Here are the CS4 disks images. The installation suite includes Photoshop,Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. I would not try to install components that you don't have a license for.
