    Nature's Jewels

It's been quite overcast and damp here for a number of days, from a gardening perspective it isn't good (I get too wet).

However from a photography perspective it brings opportunities. What do you think about this opportunity?

#2 Edited to reduce the bright areas in the original image. Though I left the cobweb strands in as I like them !

    Very nice, Peter. Good bokeh.

I was rewarded a while back with drops on a ground-spider's horizontal web that looked like diamonds.

My first thoughts were the same as Judith.

Possibly the branch is a bit too straight? I would have preferred it to be slanting slightly up or down; but that isn't really a serious issue.

I agree with Nandakumar regarding the web. Had the web been larger, and therefore more prominent, I would certainly include it in the image.

I don't think it is a major issue though. I really like this image as it stands.
    Cheers Ole

Hi Judith, thanks for taking time to comment, I have added a modified image to my original post. Hopefully I have managed your suggestion correctly?

The second version is definitely better.

Excellent image, like it a lot - even with the cobwebs. Also prefer the second version, lifts the subject out of the background better I feel.
