In Auckland, New Zealand, today we went from stage 3 to stage 2 lockdown. My wife and I celebrated with a lunch out, with the tables now spaced well apart to avoid spreading covid 19. This afternoon I messed around and came up with this, using a pic I took a while ago in Hamilton gardens, 2 hours south of us. Choosing the right photo to start with is the major part of getting a good result

I like the "painterly" look too, Trev.

I also agree with the angled path, must be an inherited taste ... My Mom (RIP) always used to set furniture in the living room "at an angle" to the walls.

I suspect a completely straight on symmetrical scene would look more like an architect's plan than a photo.

Probably this image needs to be printed onto some textured paper to get the full impact.
