    Some more work at the local machine shop today. I spent time working in the "manual" section again. Crystal is a senior machinist with over 20 years of experience.

    She is working on a Lilian vertical milling machine.

    I think this is by far the best of the series. The subject looks like she is engaged but briefly looking aside at the camera. The bright blue in the foreground actually provides a leading line to her. The machinery in general makes for an interesting environmental portrait. And finally, the lighting is effective. All in all, a very good image, IMHO.

    Manfred,
    I also like this shot better than the others, except for the operator looking at the camera of course. Also I'd suggest an horizontal crop just below the chuck at the bottom left to tighten the composition.
