Cobblestone Flats, Smoke.........

The attached image was captured recently in the Cobblestone Flats area in Kananaskis Country (from the Cree - a meeting of the waters) The area lies along the eastern flanks of the Rocky Mountains and at the time was experiencing significant smoke drifting up from forest fires in Washington and Oregon creating diffuse lighting conditions and shrouding details in the distant mountains. The river appeared as a "ribbon of silver"
