An example of very bad advertising

I spotted this advertisement in a shop window and was amazed that anyone could say that this was the final take.

I believe that the two ladies are The Veronicas an Australian pop duo. They, however look considerably better than their they are portrayed here.

This is the worst example of advertising I have ever seen.

    Absolutely horrible ...

Apart from the misty look ... is there a product in there somewhere? ...

I suspect everything you are pointing out here Ted are either due to dirt or other things stuck on the window in front of the poster and reflections off the glass itself. I suspect Ole cropped part of the poster when he took the shot. Here's a copy I found on the web.

Is it well done from a technical standpoint? I would have to say yes, but it is not my taste.

Agreed. Everything in it is way over the top to me, however well done technically.

Thanks, Manfred, I failed to note the significance of "shop window" in the OP. My image deleted ...

That brings great difference to the image; yet it looks like one lady with two upper-halves; otherwise, technically the image looks perfect, but aesthetically i continue to dislike this, which is purely personal

I disagree strongly that this image is technically correct. The Veronicas are real yet their skin colour and tone is not normal and nose and eyes are not real. Remember this is supposed to be a photograph of the Veronicas that is "photo shopped" by a professional.

I have seen cheaply done posters done that were vastly superior to this image. As an afterthought this is an advert for a perfume not makeup.

I thought that they meant the women look alien like, that is why i said it that way....
