    Wetlands

I took this image about 5 years ago. The State Road Authority had just built an expressway through/over some of our wetlands just to the north of the city of Adelaide in South Australia. These wetlands are part of the habitat for many of our local and migratory seabirds.
I went exploring and the path led me into one of the concrete box drain that runs under this expressway.

A beautiful scenery within the concrete frame. When i moved screen down and visually removed the foreground and kept the concrete path alone at bottom, ifelt the image had a better appeal. This is because the stones in the foreground(those two small black ones) is distracting attention.

Very nicely framed, very eye-catching. I think it would be improved with a little perspective adjustment to correct the roof line which appears to be sloping down towards the right.

I agree, a very eye-catching image. I agree with Peter that it would be worth fiddling with perspective adjustment. Re cropping: I think I too would crop the bottom, but not a huge amount, and you would have to crop the top at the same time to retain balance. You have more concrete than you need as framing.

The posted image is so small (irfanview shows 700 x 453) that it's really hard to tell, but at this size, the image looks a tad overcooked to me. It would be easier to tell if you posted a larger version, at least 1000 px across and maybe more, because then the image can be enlarged in the light box by double-clicking.

In any event, I think this is a keeper and worth some additional tinkering.

Thanks Dan, I didn't realise the image was so small. I have replaced it with a larger one
