Sometimes not accidental, sometimes subconscious: there can be stuff lurking in the back of the Brain, it’s a process of practice and hard work over time, that allows creativity to come forward.

Keep rowing: I reckon that there’s a lot more in you.

My eye immediately saw this story as fitting perfectly into the common 'widescreen' 16:9 Aspect Ratio.

Consider that, when working on this shot, which you already have:

    Two Photos

Bill, I think you found the sweet spot with your 16:9 crop. My first crop was at the bumper of the car. Pretty much what you have now. I thought the bike might have been a distraction. I would have preferred more separation between the bike and subject. I have a tendency to overcrop as shown in #3. I have poor eyesight and tend to make things bigger. I have become more aware of that and will take it into consideration when cropping in the future. The 16;9 aspect ratio is as good as it's going to get. Thank you for pointing the way. Daniel

Thank you Bill. I'll keep rowing feeling fortunate to have others point the way. Kind regards, Daniel

From personal experience, I believe that strong reactions to photos are sometimes rooted in subconscious associations.
