I understand the comments regarding the mice picture, and I had problems lighting the mice themselves. But the other two images do not to me appear too yellow.

Peter, looking at the mice picture, I don't see any yellow at all in that image. At the very most, orange ...

The main problem with that picture IMHO is that the mice and their background are of the same color and brightness such that the said mice appear to merge with the background. So: lighting, as has already been said.
