    Raven

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing ok during these COVID times. I haven’t posted here in many years, although I have continued to enjoy photography. I credit this group and it’s long time members for helping me improve my skill and eye thanks to their honest critique.

These days I shoot mostly dogs, or dogs with their people. This is my girl Raven, who will be 6 in March.

I sold all my Nikon gear last year and now shoot with a Sony A9. Raven

It's nice to see you back and posting, Kim. We do miss your lovely images of dogs and their handlers.

This is a nice action shot; great movement of Raven's legs and ears. She seems to enjoy being out in the snow.

Thank you Manfred. I still photograph the K9s and their handlers; however, with the sentiment related to Officers in the States, it’s become more difficult sadly. Shooting action shots of dogs is really my love.

Hi Dave! I’m glad she gave you a smile. She does that for me, every single day.

What a wonderful photograph of your dog! The joy in the expression is so wonderful and uplifting... especially in these ugly times.
It reminds me to continue to aspire to be as awesome as our own dogs we have, and love them with all my heart.
    Thank you for posting.

Thank you. I so agree with your sentiments. Dogs make the most of every moment, and everyday is joyful. For those of us with dogs, how lucky are we!

    Re: Raven

Great image both technically and artistically...

I may (just may) sell my A7iii and A6400 plus several legacy lenses that I am no longer using and purchase a used A9. If I get enough for the bodies and several lenses, I might think about an A9ii... This would leave me with the A6600 and an A9 or A9ii...

Sony Alpha Rumors website keeps tantalizing us that Sony is coming out with a "Mini A9" APSC camera or most recently, that they are coming out with a "Baby-A1" however, this never comes to pass. The latest debacle from Sony seems like it might be a vlogging camera without an eye level viewfinder

Canon has kept manufacturing their APSC 7Dii cameras which are great for fast moving action shots...

Welcome back Kim - super shot and another fine example of the cababilities of the A9. (You may like to take a minute or two to update your signature which still shows your Nikon gear ...).
