Very good, with no distracting colours; brown and golden are good match. If possible selective blur of back ground -a tad more-will accentuate the appeal, i feel

Raymond - you have another nicely seen image, but it has very much the same issue as with some of your most recent posts; the background is quite busy and distracting.

The human vision system is keyed to things that are bright or high contrast. If this is not your subject, then the image is often not as effective as it could be. The leaf does have a few "hot spots" but in general it appears to be darker than your background.

More of a crop and burning down the background would work here. Finding a leaf that is against darker background would be even easier.

I did nothing to either the leaf or the stem; just burned down the background.

I did realize that - which is why I said "with the background now being almost as dark as the stem".
