Kane - revisited
I am doing a streaming presentation on the elements of a strong image for one of the photography clubs I belong to and this image is one of the ones I will be using. This one is from 2017; my daughter and grandson were visiting for a couple of months (this is when they were living in India).
Single light (1.1m deep octabox on the camera right side).

Re: Kane - revisited
My daughter and Kane moved back to Japan about 6 weeks ago (his father is still in Hong Kong). Japanese traditionally get formal portraits taken at around the child's 3rd, 5th and 7th birthday. We received this image a couple of days ago; Kane turns 5 in less than two months. We have not seen any of them coming up on three years. It's hard to believe it is the same person.
Kane still knows how to perform for the camera...

Re: Kane - revisited
The lighting in the first is just perfect & also a great example of they don’t always need to be looking at the camera.
He looks a young man with a developing sense of humor & character in the second
