I remember a shot posted here from Oz quite a while ago. A rear view of a sharply-dressed gent waiting at a street crossing. Suit, Hat, Shiny shoes, Briefcase ... while everyone else around was very casually dressed.

I'm trying to figure out why you frame the shot the way you did.
Generally in street photography, we are looking for an interplay of between the people and the environment and the faces of the main subject(s) are important. Here, given the eye-level shooting position and just their legs, from the side and the back; there doesn't seem to be any connection between the two.
Your explanation tells us what you are trying to do, but had I not read it first, I would not have understood why you took this shot.
