This is one of those photos I'm just not sure of. I asked my wife and she just shrugged her shoulders. I have a cropped version on Flicker. Comments welcomed.

I like the crop version more, did you think about 1:1 crop and B&W version?
That was also my preference. I decided to post the original in case someone seen a better crop. I took several photos of the street and did render some B/W and it worked for me. I Will look at the 1:! and B/w versions. Below is cropped version. Thank you for commenting David.

I'm with your wife on this image, Daniel. This image doesn't say much to me, even the cropped version.
There's no real focus or centre of interest to engage the viewer.
There are really two separate images competing for the viewer's attention here. The lower part that ends just above the light standard and an upper part that starts just above it. Both would be somewhat stronger than even the second, cropped image.
Thank you, Manfred, for settling this for me.
This image gave me trouble evaluating it because of a subconscious association that has become clearer to me. It reminded me of a painting in my uncle's house that I would gaze at as a small child. The image still draws me for that reason, but I can now distinguish that from the photo's actual merits. Very much appreciated. Daniel
I like it; it looks like a video game image for me
I tend to prefer the original crop.
To my mind, this is really a historical record of the area and some road works rather than something to hang on the wall. In 50 years time, people can look at that image and say 'I remember that happening when I was a child'.
For those who don't know Spanish, Olmega Andando means Ant Walking. (He looked more like an ant from my window.}
