One of the Nephrotoma craneflies so obviously not from this year. Maybe Nephrotoma flavescens.

Maybe cropped a fraction on the tight side but sometimes you have to do this with insect shots to avoid unwanted areas and at least all of the fly has been included.

I think CiC resized your image to 481px tall then cropped it 700px wide. What was your original size in px?

Oh dear- same aspect ratio implying re-sampling rather than cropping- so who knows what the site does with it- unless you see cropping to all sides or maybe two sides compared to yours.

By way of consolation, DPR is just as bad on my screen ...
