    Boulders & Spires, Clearing Storm..............

    Have been re editing some older captures of late. This one dates to 2010 from the Red Rock Country of Southern Utah.
    Captured with the original FF Canon 5D.
    ISO 50, 35mm f/16 @ 1/50s 16mb

    hi Len, I would consider cropping on the left, perhaps a 1:1 ratio. This would bring more attention to the spirals and the large rocks in the foreground.

    There is quite a bit of rather bland area in the bottom left corner so perhaps cropping a little from bottom and left and keeping the current size ratio might be an alternative.

    Hi Daniel & Geoff, thank you for your suggestions which do warrant consideration. In this instance the raw file is a shade under 16mb which would probably limit too aggressive a crop.

    I like contrast between empty space and rocky area, also i see that those bushes actually draws my attention to those tall rocks. Donīt know if this was intention but that is how i see it. Nice picture.

    Hi David, appreciate your comments. The bushes, as you have observed, were intended to be a "leading line"
