That is an excellent concept. The apparent simplicity of the image; i.e. mostly one large block of a single colour, makes it very impressive, with a strong impact. You have clearly given attention to just one part of a flower, not all of of it. And what we find is that we do not need to see the whole flower, as this part of it tells us all we need to know. I very much like the idea.

There is one thing about that you may wish to look at further. I am seeing what is effectively an inner border. This rectangle goes all around the frame. I do not think that is needed and is a distraction.

My comments are pretty much the same as Donald's and I agree that the simplicity is appealing and has great impact. I think I'd make it even simpler by losing the inner border, as suggested, and losing the dark bits at the top.

Love the colour! A lovely rich yellow.

Thank you Donald. I did that for aesthetic reasons to help focus on what I want you to- the stamens. I might try and do one without a frame.
