You do look silly in that hat, my dear

This image was taken of some street performers of our annual Moomba celebration here in Melbourne. They moved very slowly through the crowd so it was quite easy to photograph them. The crowd was the problem in isolating the performers. This was the best. C&C most welcome

I'm just not sure about this one, Ole. I would have liked more space below her chin. That tall white thingy on the head competes with the primary and secondary subjects. If it was mine I would crop the top-down just enough to leave a little space above the top of the primary subject hat. Then remove what's left of the white stem. Definitely remove the white thingy then look at cropping down.

I’m of the same opinion, needs more of the chin. We can crop the tops of heads off without an issue, but that same amount off the chin just doesn’t look right.
A great day out though I’m sure.

A very interesting subject, but I don't think it works well. I'm of two minds about the white thingy. What bothers me is that the way the faces are positioned in the frame. The right face is chopped off at the chin, and the left face is nearly hidden. Waiting a second might have brought that face out, or perhaps stepping one step to the left. Hard to do, of course.

Thank you for your input, Daniel. The white 'thingy' is actually part of the hat. You are right, Kay I would like to have more of the chin downward shown but that part was terrible. I just managed to get part of the lady's collar.

Shoot wide, crop tight in post - in this one, specifically, I would remove the other face and the white 'thingy' and neutralize the background palette, to black:

2 minute rough only, as an indicator -

You do look silly in that hat, my dear

BTW, what was the Shutter Speed used?
