    Speed...

    Since I have not ventured out beyond the limits of my home in over a year - I am looking back at some older images that I really like... I like these three images that I shot at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show...

    I think that these images really portray speed...

    I used a Canon 40D with the 300mm f/4L IS lens (480mm equivalent). This lens is a really great versatile piece of glass and the old 40D is not at all shabby as a body!

    You are absolutely right Richard, those pictures really talk about speed. Specially first 2. The 3rd one is really amazing.

    I just realized that there is a paved parking lot and level ground from which to view the aircraft. That's great for me, since my mobility is not as good as it once was!

    Hopefully, I can find a buddy to carpool at least part of the way...

    My wife is not interested in taking the trip there. It's about a three hour or so drive from my house...
