Wonderful radial distribution of lines; liked it
Looks good to me. You could carefully add a bit more highlight brightness but I rather like this dull and bleak approach.
Thank you, Nandakumar. This was a heavy snowstorm for my city that went into the night. This is at the northern tip of Manhatten. There was not much here when they built the El bringing subway service to the area. This led to an explosion of 5 story apartment buildings filling the area. This section opened around 1907 and the view hasn't changed much since.
A few thoughts for you.
The image has very strong leading lines, but they don't really lead anywhere. If there had been something to catch the viewer's interested at the far end, the image would have been more effective.
Shooting under bridges generally has an issue of it being brighter in other places in the image. In this case, the left side is noticeably brighter, and that tends to grab the viewer's attention. Burning down that area a touch would strengthen the images as well.
Hello Manfred, I agree with both of your points. If you zoom in on the center, there is what appears to be a single headlight visible. I thought about adding two very dim headlights in the center area. I might try it eventually to see. Not sure if that would be enough.
I made a few crops to eliminate the bright left side but found nothing suitable overall. I will try darkening as suggested. Thank you, Manfred, always appreciated.
I like this shot although it reminds me of why I left New York sixty or so years ago...
I added the headlights to the void. I think it works in this situation.

Two little points of light, but it really makes a difference.
Thank you Manfred for reworking the image This has been very helpful. Much appreciated. Daniel
