Egret
On the tip of the Pointe de Fumée de Fouras, Charente Maritime, French Atlantic coast. Taken with the Fuji 100-400mm f4.5/5.6 - shortly before a lunch of oysters and a glass of sauvignon blanc.

Re: Egret
Very nice shots!
(I take it that the SB was a crisp Loire one).

Looks good. It is so difficult to get those clear feather details.

Re: Egret
I prefer the third with the complete reflection.... and less distraction.

Re: Egret
Very nice indeed, David. I enjoyed looking at your three captures, which I prefer in the sequence 1,3,2. You piqued my interest in how many we have here in New Zealand and after Googling, I learnt "In New Zealand, little egrets occur almost exclusively in estuarine habitats" ; "Little egrets are scarce annual migrants to New Zealand, arriving in autumn and departing in early spring, with some individuals remaining over summer".
Now I know more than yesterday - thanks!
