I like the colours in this image. It is a pity the eight was not out in this colourful part of the image. But you have done well to capture this image. You may call me pedantic, but I like to see the "apparent Horizon" (in this case the shoreline) made horizontal where possible.
I never considered straightening the shoreline. I thought it looked natural but will consider your suggestion. I have a version with the shoreline cropped out. Not crazy about the loss of space in the image. Here is another shot showing the shoreline. Thank you, Martin.

I like the colours in the water, but don't love the shoreline being included. The balance is off, in my view with too much negative space at the top of the image (plus the boats being too close to the right edge of the frame). Opening up the shadows a bit might be worth considering as the rowers in the boats are what we would be drawn to.
Thank you, Manfred. The more I look at it cropping of the top might be the way to go. Those colors come from the building reflections. Some of the images had the colors divided by a large white square caused by the space between the buildings not reflecting on too of the water. I took the shots from a small bridge that goes to Glen Island Park in New Rochell.
