    Four Wheel Drive

While driving to Arkaroola in the far north of South Australia we stopped in the small township of Copley for a rest break and a cup of coffee.
I was getting out of the Land Cruiser when I saw this fellow driving up the main street. I only had seconds to grab my camera and catch him in full flight.
Although the original image was taken in RAW; the lighting was harsh and the final processed image (heavily cropped) is not the greatest quality, but that is sometimes the way with street photography.
I have included the original image as well as the cropped image.

    Camera: Canon 5D Mkiii, 1/80sec, f/18, ISO 100
    Lens: Canon EF24 - 105mm f/4L IS USM @ 88mm

Pity that you hadn't shot one second earlier when he would have been better placed between the background signs. But never mind that, it is still a good shot.

I do like the cropped image. Road hog. I bet he is well over the speed appropriate to a four year old on a trike.

I have almost given up on taking grab shots like this one. There just isn't enough time to get everything right, but given the circumstances, you have pulled off a fairly decent shot.

I wonder about an even more extreme crop. I don't love the balance in this image and am not sure if most of the right hand side is adding anything to the story?

The right hand side of the image has the sign posts, which gives a hint of the location. This is a remote and quite desolate part of the country. It isn't the greatest photo I have taken, but I was surprised to find a "gopher" mixing it with the four wheel drives in the outback of South Australia.
